June

1. I so badly needed to get out of Las Vegas, so Kyle pulled off a last second camping trip for me in Southern Utah. We were a little late getting out of town and got to our camping spot around 11. There wasn't a whole lot for us to do that night except set up our tent and sleep, but that was fine seeing the next day was going to be pretty busy. We woke up and had breakfast, took a nap (SO lazy), and then took off for the Visitor's Center so we could find out about all of our options for our day.

While out, we found out that it was Utah's Free Fishing Day. Kyle LOVES to fly fish, but hadn't brought his stuff with him. We found a gas station and bought a little Tigger pole and everything else we needed and headed for Aspen Mirror Creek/Lake. I knew that Kyle had been fishing a lot, but with our little pole, I wan't expecting him to catch anything, especially within the first 5 minutes.

After walking along the creek for awhile, we moved over to the lake and had no luck. I was just happy to be outside though and it was funny to see people quietly making fun of us for our pole and then the surprise you'd see on their faces when they saw our fish. Nothing like being the talk of the little lake!

We heard from the Visitor's Center that Cascade Falls was a short hike/walk worth going on. The view was incredible! I was NOT ready to go back to Las Vegas the next morning, but after three days, I sure was looking forward to a shower!

2. Introduced Darb to Indian food with Kyle at the Mt. Everest restaurant. After eating leftovers the next day, I decided I can't eat Indian food like I can eat Thai food, and it's going to be a looooooooong time before I want that again.

3. Five Guys, the driving range, and Yogurtland with Darb, Kaitlan & John, and Kyle.

4. Kyle and I stopped at the gardens at the Bellagio on our way to H&M. We look goofy and this picture doesn't show a whole lot, but I'm always impressed with those gardens!

 5. Carrot Top with Kyle, Sarah and Greg. SO funny. I saw him when I first moved here in 2008 and loved him the first time. I don't think I'd feel comfortable sitting next to my parents during that show, but I wish my dad could have been there for his country music jokes. I needed a good laugh and that definitely did the trick!

We went to Tacos & Tequila after. If I ever find myself in the Luxor again, I think I would go there to just have an entire bowl of guacamole for myself. So delicious!

6. Been helping All American Dave every once in a while with his food delivery and entering numbers. Bluff Magazine caught me on my way in to the Rio the other day. Terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

7. My birthday was bizarre this year. My delicious breakfast in bed--

Even though Kyle made dinner reservations, I had him cancel them and I went to bed as soon as I got home from work. I was definitely done with the day. We ate my ice cream birthday cake a few days later for breakfast.

8. Nashville Unplugged with Christina Norris.

9. Movie at the Park with Christina. I had never seen "Men In Black" before and I probably wouldn't want to watch that particular movie again, but it was still fun doing something different. The weather was perfect for it! We actually walked to the park from John & Kaitlan's and I couldn't help but think that I need to find more friends here that like being outside as much as I do.

10. I'm slowly getting back on the fit wagon! (Minus the delicious muffins I discovered in the Albertson's bakery next to work...)

11. Swimming and shopping with Laura and Sarah

12. Lucille's with Sarah, Laura, Kaitlan, John, Greg, and Kyle

13. Four Mile Bar with Sarah, Laura, and Kyle. SARAH LOVED IT! I'm SO excited!

14. Heads Carolina, tails California. Since July 4th lands on a Wednesday and I have two days of vacation time leftover from tax season, Kyle and I decided we wanted to take advantage of the situation and go on our "big" trip for the summer. We talked about Hawaii, ruled out trips out of the country (I cracked the whip and Kyle is working on getting his passport for next time), talked about a million different places, and HEADS TENNESSEE!!! I'm spending my favorite holiday in NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE!!!
